Virtual reality (VR) fans were quite disappointed when they didn't get the chance to avail of the Sony's
PlayStation VR (PS VR) headset back in March when the manufacturer opened its windows for
preorders. Fortunately, the company has once again opened its preorder window for the eager fans.
"As promised, we're opening our summer wave of PS VR pre-orders starting Thursday, June 30 at
7:00 a.m. Pacific on GameStop.com," Sony wrote on its blog post update, adding, "Supplies are limited,
and this is your final chance to pre-order."
This isn't, of course, the only time fans will get to have the chance to get their hands on the highly
anticipated PlayStation VR. Sony continued to advise the enthusiasts that once the window has closed,
they will have to wait for the official launch of the headset and buy the device in retail stores nationwide.
Fans will, presumably, be able to choose from two different options of what they want to buy or preorder.
The first one is the PSVR Core, which probably consists of just the headset without any additional items
included. It will most likely sport a manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of $399.99, which is the
same as its March preorder price tag.
The second one is the PlayStation VR Launch Bundle that possibly contains all the items needed for the device.
Its MSRP is pegged at $499.99.
No official word yet, though, as to when this preorder window for PlayStation VR will close. But by the looks
of it, it will stay open as long as Sony has supplies for it. With that in mind, fans are being advised to place
their orders immediately before stock runs out.
The official launch and rollout of the PlayStation VR is now set to happen in the United States, Europe, Australia,
and in other regions as well on on Oct. 13.
